With Her

A morning, with her, coffee.

Gossip, laughter, scrambled eggs.

Bells echo, muted TV.

Long chair, windows, lazy legs.

Hawkers, bird tweets, sun’s ascent.

Broom, dry clothes, hot water tap.

Incense, flowers blush, oil scent.

Trees sway, dreamy eyes, short nap.

Evening, shower, chai and fries.

Swing, songs, wine, curry and rice.

Cat"s Paws

Cat has walked on my windshield.

Her paws tell she is strong built.

A rat roams in the bonnet.

Hope her hunger is fulfilled.

In Search

I search for what i not know

in trying to reach beyond.

My soul seeks a summer glow-

wanders boundless in its want.

When what i seek i behold,

I find not much to rejoice.

For its charm seems dull and old-

I look for another choice.

Ephemeral is my gaze

in the eternal hedge maze.

Pen

I write the version they tell,

and not the one that I know.

But when their emotions swell,

they compel my ink to flow.

Sometimes I am beautified

with fancy letters engraved.

But fill me when I have dried

for I belong to the brave.

Past, present, future I tell-

hope my words will cast a spell.

Shadows

I see shadows in my dream.

And I see them when awake.

Elusive, fuzzy the seem

but I know they are not fake.

They appear for a reason

to tell I am not alone.

As they drift in my vision,

I believe I am their clone.

Time slips by, memories brew-

with my thoughts shadows accrue.

Bracelet

She wears his bracelet of love

where memories are preserved.

She smiles to veil the sweet pain.

And the brown beads calm her nerves.

Hidden And Seen

The smile that surfaces is a pretence

that vies to hide the pain unforgotten.

The body at ease but the mind is tense,

and to conceal the wound the smile broadens.

There lies a clear path you want to take

but is blurred by us with our vague wisdom.

Unaware that your wishes are at stake,

you choose the path that many have ridden.

The soul oscillates to others’ rhythm,

and the heart beats to the melodies rolled.

But the chords are not what you would have strummed,

and the beauty lessens when others mould.

Little by little far you have been nudged-

wonder what if you had remained unbudged.
