The Last Touch

 

One morning he watched her go,

and held her hand one last time.

He did not let his tears flow

for her smile was still sublime.

He sat, waited and asked her

if what he saw was all lies.

But when he heard no murmur,

with deep sighs he closed her eyes.

He paused his mind to rewind-

drifted to their days of prime
